The Gas Appliance Test Bench (WH-RQ Series) is a configurable, multi-appliance platform that performs combustion-performance, safety-protection and thermal-efficiency tests on gas stoves, integrated stoves, wall-hung boilers and gas water heaters. With 12+ test items in one station, 0.5-class measurement and PLC control, it replaces a collection of single-purpose gauges and gives production lines and laboratories a single, traceable test system aligned to EN 30, EN 26 and EN 15502.
What the Bench Tests
- Ignition & flame stability – reliable ignition and stable combustion under rated and boundary gas conditions.
- Thermal efficiency – heat input/output and efficiency calculation against the rated specification.
- Gas tightness & flame failure – leak detection and flame-protection cut-off timing; see our gas tightness testing guide for the method and standards.
- CO emission & surface temperature – combustion-quality and safety-temperature checks for export compliance.
One Platform, Multiple Appliances
Changeover fixtures and selectable programs let the same rig cover a stove line in the morning and a boiler line in the afternoon, using LPG, natural gas or town gas. For appliance-specific lines, Wanhe also supplies dedicated machines: the gas stove test bench, the wall-hung boiler test bench and the gas water heater test bench.
Production QC vs. Type Testing

Proven in Export Projects
The same multi-appliance approach underpins real deployments, such as our gas stove export QC line in Thailand, where standardized test items and automatic reports enabled consistent shipment quality. As a direct gas appliance testing machine manufacturer, we design, machine, assemble and calibrate every bench in-house.
Compliance & Standards
Test methods cover EN 30 (gas cooking appliances), EN 26 (gas instantaneous water heaters), EN 15502 (gas-fired heating boilers), GB 16410 and IEC electrical-safety requirements. Our certifications page lists the standards we support and the documentation available for your target market.
